ဆိုးလ်မြို့၊ နိုင်ငံခြားရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာန၌ ၁၄-၉-၂၀၂၆ ရက်နေ့၊ နံနက်ပိုင်းတွင် ကျင်းပသော အပြည်ပြည်ဆိုင်ရာတရားရုံး (International Court of Justice) ၏ ရွေးကောက်ပွဲတွင် ကိုရီးယား သမ္မတနိုင်ငံ ကိုယ်စားပြု ပထမဆုံးပါဝင်ရွေးချယ်ခံမည့် ကိုယ်စားလှယ်ဖြစ်သူ Mr. Jin-Hyun Paik နှင့် ဆိုးလ်အခြေစိုက်သံတမန်များ တွေ့ဆုံဆွေးနွေးပွဲကို ကျင်းပခဲ့ရာ ဖိတ်ကြားချက်အရ ကိုရီးယားသမ္မတနိုင်ငံဆိုင်ရာ မြန်မာသံရုံးယာယီတာဝန်ခံ/ သံအမတ်ကြီး ဦးမျိုးမြင့်မောင် တက်ရောက်ခဲ့ပါသည်။
အဆိုပါတွေ့ဆုံပွဲတွင် ကိုရီးယားသမ္မတနိုင်ငံ၊ နိုင်ငံခြားရေးဝန်ကြီး Mr. Cho Hyun က ဂုဏ်ပြုစကားပြောကြားခဲ့ပြီး တရားသူကြီး Mr. Jin-Hyun Paik နှင့် ပါမောက္ခ Mr. Keun-Gwan Lee တို့ က နိုင်ငံတကာဥပဒေ၊ နိုင်ငံတကာတရားရုံး၏ အခန်းကဏ္ဍနှင့် အနာဂတ် အတွေးအမြင်တို့ကို အပြန်အလှန်အမြင်ချင်းဖလှယ် ဆွေးနွေးခဲ့ကြပါသည်။
အဆိုပါတွေ့ဆုံပွဲသို့ ကိုရီးယား သမ္မတနိုင်ငံအခြေစိုက်သံရုံးများမှ သံအမတ်ကြီးများနှင့်ကိုယ်စားလှယ်များ၊ နိုင်ငံတကာ အဖွဲ့အစည်းများမှ ကိုယ်စားလှယ်များ တက်ရောက်ခဲ့ကြပါသည်။
တရားသူကြီး Mr. Jin-Hyun Paik သည် ကိုရီးယားသမ္မတနိုင်ငံမှ အပြည်ပြည်ဆိုင်ရာ တရားရုံး (ICJ) တရားသူကြီးရွေးကောက်ပွဲတွင် ပထမဆုံးအကြိမ် ဝင်ရောက်ယှဉ်ပြိုင်သည့် ကိုရီးယားနိုင်ငံသား ဥပဒေပညာရှင်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ အဆိုပါရွေးကောက်ပွဲကို ၂၀၂၆ ခုနှစ် နှောင်းပိုင်း တွင် ကျင်းပမည်ဖြစ်ပြီး ရွေးချယ်ခံရပါက ၂၀၂၇ ခုနှစ်မှ၂၀၃၆ ခုနှစ်အထိ (၉)နှစ်တာ သက်တမ်းကို ထမ်းဆောင်ရမည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ Mr. Jin-Hyun Paik သည် ITLOS (International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea)တွင် ၂၀၀၉ ခုနှစ်မှ ၂၀၂၃ ခုနှစ်အထိ တရားသူကြီးအဖြစ် တာဝန်ထမ်းဆောင် ခဲ့ပြီး ၂၀၁၇ ခုနှစ်မှ ၂၀၂၀ ပြည့်နှစ်အထိ ITLOS ဥက္ကဋ္ဌ အဖြစ်လည်း တာဝန်ယူဆောင်ရွက်ခဲ့သူ ဖြစ်ကာ နိုင်ငံတကာတရားစီရင်ရေးနှင့် ပင်လယ်ရေကြောင်း ဥပဒေနယ်ပယ်တွင် အတွေ့အကြုံ များစွာရှိသူဖြစ်ကြောင်း သိရှိရပါသည်။
Myanmar Chargé d’Affaires a.i./ Ambassador Attends Meeting Between International Court of Justice (ICJ) Candidate and Seoul-based Diplomats

U Myo Myint Maung, Chargé d’Affaires a.i./ Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the Republic of Korea, attended a meeting between Judge Jin-Hyun Paik—a former President and Judge of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS) and Seoul-based diplomatic missions, held on 14 September 2026 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Seoul. Judge Jin-Hyun Paik is the first candidate representing the Republic of Korea in the election for the International Court of Justice.
Mr. Cho Hyun, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea attended the event and delivered remarks. At the discussions, Judge Jin-Hyun Paik and Professor Mr. Keun-Gwan Lee exchanged views on international law, the role of the ICJ, and future perspectives. Ambassadors and representatives from embassies based in the Republic of Korea, as well as representatives from international organizations, also attended.
Judge Jin-Hyun Paik is a prominent legal expert from the Republic of Korea and the first South Korean national candidate for the ICJ election. The election is scheduled for late 2026, and if elected, he would serve a nine-year term from 2027 to 2036. He served as a judge at the ITLOS from 2009 to 2023 and as President of ITLOS from 2017 to 2020. He has experience in international adjudication and the law of the sea.
